When you purchase audio tracks from studio-aid.com, you have the choice of receiving dry or processed audio tracks.
With processed tracks, you'll receive the audio tracks as they sound after I've applied track effects. Normally gating, compression, eq & reverb. This gives you the tracks as they are processed (and sound) in the sample mix that you receive. The advantage with this is that you know what you are getting. The disadvantage is that you loose the flexibility to reduce or remove those effects during your own mixing.
With dry tracks, you receive the tracks without any track or bus processing. This gives you the flexibility to add effects as you choose. Of course, if you are not familiar with applying these types of effects and do not completely understand how they work, you will be better off going with the processed tracks.
Individual tracks are normally supplied as mono tracks unless stereo effects are being used and processed tracks are requested. This is common for Guitar and keyboards that contain stereo effects.
All tracks are recorded at and supplied at 44.1khz / 24bit resolution, unless otherwise requested.
The drum kit is normally mic'd as follows:
Kick - Shure Beta52 & SM57 (inside & outside)
Snare Top- Sennheiser MD-421 II
Snare Bottom - Shure SM58
TOM's - Sennheiser e604's & SM57
Hi Hat - Shure SM81-LC
Stereo Overheads - Rode NT5 Matched
Stereo Room - AKG c1000s - Matched
Ambient - MXL 2001
Drum tracks are supplied in a stereo mix with processing as applied to the mix prior before main bus. No master compression or eq will be applied to the mix. Separated drum tracks can be supplied for an additional $10 charge ($59 total). When ordering Multi Track Drums you will receive a dry mono track for each mic on the kit and room mic's along with the stereo mix.
