When you purchase audio tracks from studio-aid.com, you have the choice of receiving dry or processed audio tracks.
With processed tracks, you'll receive the audio tracks as they sound after I've applied the track & bus effects. Normally gating, compression, eq & reverb. (Studio-Aid uses the highest quality DSP powered plugins from Universal Audio!) This gives you the tracks as they are processed (and sound) in the sample mix that you receive. The advantage with this is that you know what you are getting. The disadvantage is that you loose the flexibility to reduce or remove those effects during your own mixing.

With dry tracks, you receive the tracks without any track or bus processing. This gives you the flexibility to add effects as you choose. Of course, if you are not familiar with applying these types of effects and do not completely understand how they work, you will be better off going with the processed tracks.

Depending on the number of instruments being requested, you may receive your tracks in a single processed stereo mix or in separate tracks for each instrument. Drums can also be supplied in a single processed, stereo mix or separated tracks. Individual tracks are normally supplied as mono tracks unless stereo effects are being used and processed tracks are requested. This is common for Guitar and keyboards that contain stereo effects such as reverb or chorus.

All tracks are recorded at 44.1khz sampling rate and 24bit resolution, unless otherwise requested. Tracks can be provided in sampling rates from 44.1khz to 96khz. Resolutions of 16 and 24 bits are available. If no request is given, I will record at 44.1 / 24 bits. Tracks can be re sampled and dithered to meet your needs after recording if required.
The drum kit is normally mic'd as follows:
Kick - Shure Beta52
Snare - Shure SM57 TOP / SM58 Bottom
TOMs - Sennheiser e604s
Hi Hat - Shure SM81
Overheads - AKG c1000s
Drum tracks are supplied in a stereo mix with processing as heard in the supplied mix. Separated drum tracks can be supplied for an additional charge. Multi Track Drums are available with or without track processing such as compression, eq, and gating. You will also receive a single stereo drum mix with your Multi Track Drums.
